Method of labelling pyrotechnically produced air colloids with a readily activiable tracer

Description

In order to investigate the propagation of substances in the atmospheres, activiable tracers are used. It is suggested to use a cloud aggregate of hexachlorethane and Al powder dysprosium trichloride as tracer. The cloud aggregate consists of 56 wt.% Dy2O3, 36 wt.% C2Cl6 and 8 wt.% Al powder, it is formed pointwise at the desired altitude. (UWI)

Abstract (German)

Um die Ausbreitung von Stoffen in der Atmosphaere zu untersuchen, werden aktivierbare Tracer eingesetzt. Es wird vorgeschlagen, mit einem Nebelsatz aus Hexachloraethan und Al-Pulver Dysprosiumtrichlorid als Tracer zu verwenden. Der Nebelsatz besteht aus 56 Gew.% Dy2O3, 36 Gew.% C2Cl6 und 8 Gew.% Al-Pulver, er wird punktfoermig in der gewuenschten Hoehe gegruendet. (UWI)
