Description
The scattered direct radiation intensity ratio of the flat plate specimen depends on the radiation quality of the X-rays, material thickness, type of material, focus-film distance, film-object distance, and the shape and dimensions of the radiation field. The effects caused by these various factors have been clarified and the scattered direct radiation intensity ratio of the flat plate specimen in the broad area radiation has been reviewed. The Report shows that the scattered direct radiation intensity ratio in the practical exposure area of the flat plate specimen using the broad area radiation method is almost proportional to the thickness of the test object. The recurrent line obtained from the result of the experiment is: n = 0.09T (T: mm) for steel plate and n = 0.35T (T: mm) for aluminum plate. (author)
