The objective of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission's (NRC) safety related electrical equipment qualification program is to ensure that the equipment would function under postulated accident conditions. This paper reports on the difficulties encountered by Vepco and other utilities, with new and/or existing plants in meeting the fundamental qualification goals
