A study of interaction between two He+ ions in terms of the electronic forces

Description

The potential energy curve of the He22+ system dissociating into two He+ ions is examined in terms of the electronic force exerted on each nucleus as a function of the internuclear separation. The results are compared with the process of bond-formation in H2 from the separated atoms. (Auth.)
