Trigger system for ta 90 channel herenkov mass-specrometer

Description

A start system for a 90-band gamma-spectrometer and 32 magnetostriction spark chambers is described. The apparatus is used for the registration of photons and electrons produced in high-energy particle interactions and includes a HP2116-B computer. The system furnishes a ''trigger'' signal which starts up the recording apparatus when the following conditions are satisfied: coincidence of electric signals in time when the particles are passing through the detectors S1, S2, S3, A1, A2, SA, SB, CA, CB; the energy released by the particles in each arm of the Cherenkov spectrometer and combined energy release exceed the present energy thresholds. The start system comprises scintillation and Cherenkov detectors and events selection electronic logical circuit. The system parameters are: time resolution 180 nsec.; dead time 10 msec.; trigger signal delay - 490 nsec
