Numerical computation of the renormalized effective potential in the strong-coupling limit
- 1. Department of Physics, Washington University, St. Louis, Missouri 63130
Description
This is the second of three papers on the strong-coupling expansion of the renormalized effective potential in gphi4 quantum field theory in d-dimensional Euclidean space-time. After a general discussion of our renormalization program, we perform a mass renormalization for each of the two lattice strong-coupling expansions for the wave-function renormalized effective potential that were computed in the previous paper. We describe strategies for obtaining the continuum limit of the renormalized lattice strong-coupling expansions in the limit g→infinity. The results of extensive numerical calculations are reported for the leading term in the renormalized strong-coupling expansion for the coefficients of the effective potential
