New opportunities in hadronic physics with Teraflops class computers

Creators

Description

Solution of QCD on a lattice with emerging Teraflops-class computers offers unprecedented physics opportunities to determine the parameters of the standard model, explore QCD thermodynamics, and understand hadron structure. Two computer initiatives in the U.S. are described: the special-purpose 0.5 TFLOPS Project and the general-purpose Teraflops Project. copyright 1995 American Institute of Physics
