Description

Systematic estimates of pionic decay rates of light-to-heavy hypernuclei are presented, emphasizing the importance of shell-structure and pion-distortion effects. For light Λ- and ΛΛ-hypernuclei with A ≅ 5, a practical method is proposed so as to calculate realistically the continuum pion spectra for three-body decay modes. (author)
