Itinerant magnetic-electron theory for resistivity anomalies of ferromagnetic metals near Curie temperatures

Description

An itinerant magnetic-electron theory is presented to investigate the resistivity anomalies of ferromagnetic metals near the Curie temperature Tsub(c) of the metals. Short-range dynamics is used for T> Tsub(c) so that the mean free path is considered to behave similarly to the correlation length near Tsub(c). The magnetic electron is thus localized in Wannier states at and below Tsub(c). The quantum-dynamical state of the magnetic electron is claimed to be confirming the ideas of the localized model in the ferromagnetic region. The present theory predicts results in agreement with the experimental results: the resistivity is continuous through Tsub(c) and its temperature coefficient diverges positively at Tsub(c). The divergence of the temperature coefficient is logarithmical in the ferromagnetic region and linear in the paramagnetic region
