Study of 129I accession from air into plants using radioactive labels

Description

Regularities of iodine behaviour in the atmosphere-plant system have been investigated. Gas I125 was used in the experiment. It is shown, that I125 countent in plants increases with the increase of its concentration into the air, while the multiplicity of the increase in the air is practically equal to the multiplicity of the increase in plants. Iodine intake in plants depends on two factors -content of stable iodine in the substrate and of 125I in the air. Concentration coefficient of 125I for grains and vegerables are determined
