Processing of the expanded declaration information based on the additional protocol

This paper shows the overview of the Initial Declaration and the Annual Declaration pursuant to the additional protocol. In December 1999, the Domestic legislation had revised to implement the declaration information for the IAEA in the Initial Declaration or Annual Declaration. Japan had implemented the Initial Declaration in June 2000. Collecting the information was conducted between February to March. As soon as the information was collected, the follow-up work, confirmation work, translation work, and entering the database of the report were implemented. Final confirmation of the report was conducted on April. It is necessary to be improved the quality of the Annual Declaration for keeping the evaluation under the Integrated Safeguards, and it is necessary to seek further efficiency way to implement the process of expanded declaration information. Also, the cooperation by the operators is necessary. (author)
