The continuum break-up of 6Li

Description
The non-sequential break-up of 6Li into α+d has been measured in a kinematically complete experiment. The α+d angular correlation of 22.2 MeV 6Li incident on 118Sn exhibits a pronounced double-humped shape which can be explained in terms of a semiclassical model comparing remarkably well with the experiment. This simple model yields moreover a new interpretation for similiar structures seen in α-12C angular correlations resulting from the bombardment of 208Pb by 16O. (orig.)

Der nicht-sequentielle Aufbruch von 6Li in α+d wurde in einem kinematisch vollstaendigen Experiment gemessen. Die α+d-Winkelkorrelation von 6Li, das unter 22,2 MeV auf 118Sn trifft, weist eine ausgepraegte doppelhoeckrige Form auf, die mit bemerkenswert guter Uebereinstimmung mit dem Experiment in Termen eines halbklassischen Modells erklaert werden kann. Dieses einfache Modell ergibt darueberhinaus eine neue Interputation fuer aehnliche Strukturen, die in beim Beschuss von 208Pb mit 16O auftretenden α-12C-Winkelkorrelationen beobachtet werden.
