These Proceedings contain the texts of the papers presented at a Legal Seminar on compensation for damage due to catastrophes in the chemical, nuclear and hydrocarbons sectors, together with supporting documentation. The papers dealing with the nuclear question discuss a hypothetical Polish and Soviet dispute with regard to the Chernobyl accident, nuclear third party liability and its insurance, state liability as well as technological risks and transport. The documentation includes the Paris and Vienna nuclear liability Conventions and several national laws in that field, a list of nuclear accidents since 1945, the IAEA Conventions on Early Notification and on Assistance and bilateral agreements in this respect

Abstract (French)

Ce compte rendu contient le texte des communications presentees a des journes d'Etudes juridiques consacrees a la question de la reparation des dommages catastrophiques dans les secteurs chimique, nucleaire et petrolier ainsi qu'une documentation de base a ce sujet. Les communications relatives aux questions nucleaires examinent l'hypothese d'un differend sovieto-polonais a la suite de l'accident de Tchernobyl, la responsabilite civile nucleaire et son assurance, la responsabilite des etats ainsi que les risques technologiques et le transport. La documentation comprend les Conventions sur la responsabilite civile nucleaire et certaines lois nationales dans ce domaine, une liste d'accidents nucleaires depuis 1945, les Conventions de l'AIEA sur la notification rapide et l'assistance et des accord bilateraux a ce sujet
