Description

Initial design for the Siberian Snake method of polarized beam acceleration in the Superconducting Super Collider is presented. A snake is an alternating sequence of horizontal and vertical bends designed to rotate the spin (of a particle beam) by 180 degrees about an axis that lies in the horizontal plane
