With reference to necroses observed the possibility of complication in combined treatment with radiotherapy and Methotrexate in connection with an Ommaya-Reservoir for intrathecal application is pointed out. The cause might be the reservoir, Methotrexate, and radiotherapy. To void complications, the depot in the Ommaya reservoir should not be within the field of irradiation. (orig.) 891 MG/orig. 892 RDG
Abstract (German)
Auf Grund beobachteter Nekrosen wird auf die Moeglichkeit von Komplikationen bei der Kombinationsbehandlung von Strahlentherapie und Methotrexat in Verbindung mit einem Ommaya-Reservoir zur intrathecalen Applikation hingewiesen. Als Ursachen kommen das Reservoir, Methotrexat und die Strahlentherapie in Frage. Zur Vermeidung von Komplikationen sollte das Depot beim Ommaya Reservoir nicht im Bestrahlungsfeld liegen.
