Physical-chemical study of bicelles by phosphorous 31 NMR

Description

In this research thesis which initially aimed at characterising different mixtures of amphiphilic molecules by using different NMR techniques, notably phosphorous NMR, the author reports the study of a lipid mixture of a diC14PC with long chains with a diC6PC, the first one being often used for the study of bio-molecules by NMR. He also reports the study of application of magic angle spinning (MAS) NMR to the study of a solution of concentrated detergent. The mixture has also been studied by large bandwidth NMR (deuterium and phosphorous) by means of molecular probes
