Corrosion behavior of hydrogen saturated iron in sulfuric acid solution containing oxygen

Description
One investigated into effect of preliminary cathodic hydrogen saturation of iron on its corrosion with oxygenous depolarization in sulfuric acid solution. One used 2 mm thickness and 1-2 cm2 area carbonyl iron (0.003% C) iron specimens and 0.05NH2SO4+1NNa2SO4 (pH2) solution oxygenated under 20 Deg C. It is shown that at the control electrode the streams of iron dissolving and of oxygen reduction coincide with diffusion limiting stream of the last-named

Исследовано влияние предварительного катодного наводороживания железа на его коррозию с кислородной деполяризацией в сернокислом растворе. Использовали образцы карбонильного железа (0.003% С) толщиной 2 мм и площадью 1-2 см2 и раствор 0.05NH2SO4+1NNa2SO4 (pH2), насыщаемый кислородом при температуре 20 град С.
