The efficiency of hydrogen peroxide as an uranium dioxide oxidant depending on medium ph

The results of studies on effect of hydrogen peroxide as an oxidizing agent of uranium dioxide depending on medium ph have been considered. It has been revealed that hydrogen peroxide in a sulfuric acid medium has a high oxidizing ability with respect to uranium, and the oxidation process proceeds vigorously not only with the participation of iron ions, but also in their absence. Such combined processes using hydrogen peroxide as an oxidizing agent deserve great attention. (author)
