Spectra of α-particles in resonances of the 67Zn(n,α)64Ni reaction and the absence of α0-transitions in this reaction induced by thermal neutrons

Description
Results are presented on measured α-particle spectra at seven separate 67Zn resonances; the presence of α0 transitions at the resonances is shown. The data abolish the supposed violation of statistical regularities for α0 and α1 transitions at the 67Zn resonances. Possible reasons of a difference by more than an order of magnitude between the experimental cross section of the 67Zn(n,α0) reaction on thermal neutrons and that estimated by means of the Breit-Wigner formula with known parameters of the neutron 67Zn resonances are discussed
