Description

To elucidate spectroscopy method capabilities with resonance average and understand the neutron capture mechanism with 143Nd nucleus, the nature of gamma spectrum specific features from the 143Nd(n, γ) reaction at 2 ± 0.4 keV neutron energy is considered. Generation of 103 sets of Zmod values simulating a set of Zexp experimental values has been carried out for determining statistical confidence of the increase effect of 41+ and 22+ level population. High-energy E1 transition widths have been calculated from 143Nd S-resonances. The calculations confirm that the probability of transitions to the 22+ level increases more than two times as compared with values for 21+ and 23+ levels. The calculations don't confirm experimentally observed increase of the transition probability to the 4+ level. This difference can be conditioned by the predominant population of 41+ and 22+ levels through different configurations. Increase of 41+ level population can result from contributions of two-quasiparticle core excitations which are not included in the calculations
