Progress of multi-slice CT in the evaluation of pulmonary hypertension

Description
Imaging plays a central role in the diagnosis and management of all forms of pulmonary hypertension (PH). Multi-slice spiral CT (MSCT) as a noninvasive method has high time and space resolution, can be used not only for accurate assessment of pulmonary arteries and cardiac anatomy and function with a variety of quantitative and qualitative indexes, but also for evaluation of parenchymal change. It facilitates to detect PH, estimate its prognosis and monitor the therapeutic effects. (authors)
