Description

The average quantity of radioactive material released to the environment from a nuclear power reactor during normal operation is called 'Source Term'. This is a very important data on which evaluation of radiation dose for publics is based. It must be able to evaluated before construction of NPP. But after middle 1980's, new methods for source term evaluation were not updated any more. In Korea, the development of KNGR(by the name of APR-1400) that would have many differences in system parameters and waste treatment systems from others was launched as a national project in 1992, so the methodology of source term evaluation that can be applicable to KNGR became necessary. As a result of this study a computer code to be able to consider the changes was developed and verified
