The Hubble diagram for QSOs
Description
The Hubble diagram of 76 QSOs is divided into subgroups according to the spectral index of their optical continua. S strong correlation is found for objects with a flat continuum, and no correlation at all for the ones with a steep continuum. The latter seem to be the main cause for the large scatter in the Hubble diagram of QSOs. Objects with spectral indices α < 1.2 have an improved Hubble relation which is consistent with a non-evolutionary qsub(O) = 1 cosmology. (author)
