Convergence of the adiabatic expansion in the three-body problem with Coulomb interaction
- 1. Joint Inst. for Nuclear Research, Dubna (USSR)
Description
A method is proposed for calculating the contributions of higher states of the discrete and continuous spectra in the two-center problem to the binding energy in a three-body system. The method permits the energy levels of a mesic molecule to be determined with an accuracy to approximately 10-3 eV. The convergence of the expansion of the wave functions for mesic molecules with respect to the adiabatic basis is investigated numerically
