Pulsed current concentration simulation in the radial vacuum line for cylindrical liner implosion

Description

During the electrodynamic target implosion to achieve the extreme substance parameters one should employ the pulsed sources of enormous volumes of electromagnetic energy in combination with it's fast transfer to the target. One of the possible ways to meet these requirements is a combined usage of an explosive magnetic generator and an open switch of a magnetic gate type, driven by magnetic field, and a radial vacuum line to density current on a target liner. An open switch of a magnetic gate type works as a commutator. Into the EMG circuit the element is inserted, capable of shifting under the magnetic pressure and of further breakaway from current inputs. In this case current may flow only along considerably lighter, than the primary metal elements, plasma arc, that moves rapidly to the load under the magnetic field. To accelerate current element motion toward the load it's mass effect may be intensified, if the radial line electrodes are made transparent for plasma, i.e., non-continuous, and if the plasma of the created arc is branched from the interelectrode gap. The authors investigate the space-time structure of current wave, concentrating to load linear along the radial line with the electrodes, transparent to current arc plasma
