Spin flip probabilities at inelastic scattering of protons with energy near 6 MeV on 60Ni
- 1. Leningradskij Gosudarstvennyj Univ. (USSR)
Description
Experimental data are presented on the energy dependence of the spin flip probability S(E) at the scattering angles of 60, 90, 105, 120, 135 deg in the proton energy region 5.7-6.0 MeV and on the excitation functions of the inelastic (21+) proton scattering on 60Ni in the energy interval 5.65-6.0 MeV at the scattering angles of 90, 100, 120, 140 deg (lab. system), as well as on the angular dependences of the spin flip S(PHI) and on the differential cross sections at Esub(p)=5.83 and 6.0 MeV. The excitation functions of the inelastic scattering have a resonance character. The probability S(E) in almost independent on the energy within the statistical errors at all the scattering angles. The theoretical analysis was fulfilled using the distorted wave method (DWM), the statistical theory and by means of the program ''DWM+Resonance''. Summing up the statistical and ''coherent'' components, a satisfactory description of the experimental data is obtained, the resonance parameters are determined, as well as the relative contributions from various mechanisms to the inelastic proton scattering on y equal to 6 60Ni at Esub(p) approximatel MeV
