Method of brass testing on inclination to corrosion cracking

Description
A method is proposed for estimating the tendency of brasses to corrosive cracking. It is based on measuring the sample strain relaxation versus exposition time in aqueous ammonia medium. The time of half-relaxation is a quantitative measure of the method. The data obtained enable to conclude on reasonability of application of the new method Y
