On the possibilities of MOX fuel utilization in existing LWRs

Description
Plutonium recycling in existing nuclear power plants is of special importance for countries having no significant sources of natural uranium and high enrichment costs at the same time. This paper deals with some problems of computing the MOX fuel assemblies parameters. An analysis of core parameters was performed for Krsko type reactor with different amounts of MOX fuel in equilibrium cycle. (author)
