Influence of low-temperature oxygen rearrangement on the conductivity anisotropy in TmBa2Cu3O6+x single crystals

Description
A study of the influence of oxygen ordering on the conductivity anisotropy has been carried out on oxygen-deficient TmBa2Cu3O6+x single crystals. The temperature dependences of both in-plane and out-of-plane resistivities at T> or ∼300 K are shown to be determined to a large extent by the processes of oxygen rearrangement. It is found that the out-of-plane transport is much more sensitive to oxygen rearrangement, and the conductivity anisotropy decreases essentially with oxygen ordering. ((orig.))
