Preparation of polyelectrolytic hydrogels by the radiation technique
Description
A preliminary investigation was carried out on radioinduced copolymerization of acrylic and methacrylic with dibutylmaleate. The comonomers used being one hydrophilic and another hydrophobic resulting copolymers have mixed amphyphilic properties. The swelling properties of obtained polymeric gels depend on their structure which is determined by the irradiation conditions and chemical nature of irradiated mixtures. (Author)
