Applications of pulsed neutron generation in formation evaluation for petroleum exploration and development
Description
With the enhanced awareness of environmental protection and various management systems to be strengthened and improved, it is becoming a Radioactive Well Logging (RWL) technology development trend that radioactive isotope sources will be replaced by pulsed neutron generator in formation evaluation logging for petroleum exploration and development. Introduced are role and status of RWL in formation evaluation logging for petroleum exploration and development. Pointed out are problems using sealed neutron generator, and suggested are a few of research ideas and key technology tasks to research on application of pulsed neutron generator in future. (authors)
