Homogeneity region of CdSb

Description
Part of the state diagram of the CdSb system in the range of existence of the compound CdSb was investigated by means of physicochemical analysis. It is shown that in the concentration range of 49.83-50.42 at.% Sb a CdSb-based variable-composition phase is formed, whose electrical conductivity increases with introduction of superstoichiometric amounts of Cd and Sb. This is due to a considerable increase in the concentration of current carriers in the range of 50.0-50.42 at.% Sb and to their higher mobility in alloys containing 49.83-50.0 at.% Sb. The principal current carriers in homogeneous alloys are the holes
