Description
The novel developments in the solid photocathodes using CsI evaporated on a pad readout MWPC open a way to achieve large areas of RICH detector fulfilling the particle identification requirements in the high particle density environment of ALICE at LHC. The first prototypes have been tested, and expected performance is presented. (orig.)
