Description
Carbon materials have been applied to various components, under extreme conditions such as high temperature high pressure and high vacuum because of having their excellent physical, thermal and mechanical properties, such as low density, high strength to weight ratio, high heat resistance and high thermal shock resistance. The purpose of this study is to examine the mechanical properties of carbon materials under the condition of high temperature. The compressive properties at high temperatures and effects of the heat treatment temperature were evaluated by a high temperature material testing machine. (author)
