Description

With a view to using tungsten-rhenium alloys junctions in nuclear reactors, we have made a systematic preliminary study of these elements. For the combinations W/W 26 per cent Re and W 5 per cent Re/W 26 per cent Re, with or without sheath, we have investigated the following properties: (i) e.m.f., (ii) reproducibility of measurements, (iii) influence of thermal shocks. After a description of the method used, results are given showing the possibilities of these alloys for accurate temperature determinations up to 2300 deg. C. (authors)

Abstract (French)

C. (auteurs)
