Investigation into chemical reactions on the tungsten surface by interference indication method

Description
Oxidation and reduction of tungsten by gaseous reagents have been studied using the physico-chemical method of registration of heterogeneous reactions by interference of oxide layers. The spectrum of interference coloration of oxide films on tungsten has been improved. Activation energies of oxidation of the metal in air atmosphere and its reduction by hydrogen from oxide film have been determined, kinetic measurements of dissolution of the film in alkaline medium carried out
