Synthesis and study of heat-resistant composites in Mo-Si-C system

Description
Conditions for producing composites in Mo-Si-C system according to self-propagating high-temperature synthesis technology are considered. Investigation is conducted by x ray and metallographic methods. Results of studying the material oxidation kinetics in the air with the mix ratio MoSi2:Mo2C = 1:1, testifying to its high heat resistance (up to 1350 k) are presented. 4 refs.; 5 figs
