Preliminary ascertainment of the ore-forming geological bodies of granite-type uranium deposits and its prospecting significance, Northern Guangdong province

Description

Based on the theory of ore-forming geological body, this paper has preliminarily ascertained the ore-forming geological bodies of granite-type uranium deposits in northern Guangdong province. The ore-forming geological bodies are the small granitic intrusions and acidic or mafic dykes which intruded at the late phase of Early Yanshanian or Late Yanshanian. The ages of ore-forming geological bodies accord with uranium mineralization, and the ore-forming geological bodies are closely related to uranium mineralization in space. In the process of uranium mineralization, the ore-forming geological bodies supplied heat energy and mineralizer. The preliminary ascertainment of the ore-forming geological bodies has great significance for the next uranium prospecting, especially for seeking for rich and massive uranium mineralization type of sericitic alteration.
