Local short range order in iron melt close to melting temperature

Description
The work deals with the study of local near order in liquid iron in the vicinity of melting point. Oxygen was chosen as doping element. Local changes in liquid iron matrix structure were obtained when analyzing the character of magnetic susceptibility behaviour of iron paramagnetic phases with different oxygen content (up to 0.02 mass%). Polytherms of magnetic susceptibility have anomalies and hysteresis. Dependence of the anomaly intensiveness and hysteresis span on oxygen content in the samples is ascertained. The dependences obtained were put in the basis of decoding atom local coordinations in liquid iron
