Chemistry of palladium in extraction processes of NPP spent fuel reprocessing

Description
State of palladium in nitric acid solutions produced during the NPP spent fuel dissolution is considered. Mechanism of Pd(2) extraction by various class extractants is studied and peculiarities of palladium behaviour during the NPP fuel reprocessing using hydrocarbon diluents are explained. Possible ways of palladium extraction from extraction fuel reprocessing raffinates are evaluated. Radiation characteristics of palladium separated and purified from fission products are investigated
