J-TEXT tokamak plasma current and position feedback control system

  • 1. J-TEXT Laboratory of Huazhong Univ. of Science and Technology, Wuhan (China)

Description

A stable, reliable and repeatable plasma current and position control are very crucial for a tokamak device conducting the physics experiment. The major work of this article is a feedback control model, which is set up for plasma current and position control. Based on this control model, a plasma current and position feedback control system is built up. The system consists of measuring segment, data acquisition segment, logic calculation segment and control output segment. An up to 200-kilo-ampere plasma is generated and maintained by this system. The horizontal and vertical displacement of the plasma current can be controlled within one centimeter in the flat top of the current. The stability, reliability and repeatability of the system are sufficient for the need of present physical experiment. (authors)
