The mechanism of the passivating film formation of niobium in alkaline media
Description
The anodic growth of niobium oxide in alkaline solution is analysed using the voltametric technique. The experimental results show that the peak current increases with the square root of th sweep velocity, the peak charge with v sup(-1/2) and the peak potential changes linearly with the logarithm of the peak current. All these results are interpreted through a model previously developed. (C.L.B.)
Abstract (Portuguese)
A evolucao anodica do oxido de niobio em solucao alcalina e analisada, utilizando a tecnica voltametrica. Os resultados experimentais mostram que a corrente do pico aumenta com a raiz quadrada da velocidade de varredura, a carga do pico com V sup(-1/2) e o potencial do pico varia linearmente com o logaritimo da corrente do pico. Todos os resultados sao interpretados com auxilio de um modelo desenvolvido anteriormente. (C.L.B.)Additional details
