Effect of carbon replacement by boron on structure and properties of nickel alloy with high titanium content
- 1. Ural'skij Politekhnicheskij Inst., Sverdlovsk (USSR)
Description
The paper deals with the investigation of a model nickel age-hardenable alloy with different boron and carbon content. It is established that boron injection reduces the microporosity level, phase composition and dimensional γ-γ'-non-conformity. Mechanical properties of highly botron material (B/C=10) are slightly higher than of an alloy with carbon (B/C=0.1). Application of step-by-step treatment is also shown to be effective for carbon plasticity increase
