Eco information 6. Influence of operation of the plants Jadrova vyradovacia spolocnost, a.s., on the environment, Locality of Mochovce, within June 2014

In this leaflet the results of monitoring of radioactive gaseous and liquid effluents into the Hron River as well as of radiation monitoring of Mochovce Liquid RAW Final Treatment Facility (FS KRAO) and Mochovce Radioactive Waste Repository (RU RAO) are presented. The radioactive effluents into hydrosphere within June 2014 for the radioactive effluents into hydrosphere within for FS KRAO were: 0.6086 GBq of tritium (6.9652 GBq for the period January - June 2014 (2.32% of AL)) and summary of gamma-radionuclides 0.2739 GBq (2.169 GBq for the period January - June 2014 (55.61% of AL)). The radioactive effluents into hydrosphere within January - March 2014 for FS KRAO were: 62 kBq of ⁹⁰Sr (0.0003% of AL)), 0.003 kBq of summary alpha (0.003 kBq of annually value) and 1847 kBq of ¹⁴C for the period January - March 2014. The radioactive effluents into hydrosphere within June 2014 for RU RAO were: 1.136 MBq of tritium (7.384 MBq for the period January - June 2014 (0.039% of AL)); 0.008 MBq of ¹³⁷Cs (0.053 MBq for the period January - June 2014 (0.232% of AL)); 0.119 MBq of ⁹⁰Sr - the value of the quarterly (0.119 MBq for the period January - March 2014 (0.04900% of AL)); 0.017 MBq of ⁶⁰Co (0.071 MBq for the period January - June 2014 (0.317% of AL)); 0.005 MBq of ²³⁹Pu (0.005 MBq for the period January - March 2014 (1.00% of AL)). Volume of liquid effluents in June 2014 was 454 m³ (2951 m³ for the period January - June 2014). The radioactive effluents into atmosphere within June 2014 for FS KRAO were: 0.0006 MBq of gamma radionuclides (0.003 MBq for the period January - June 2014, that is 0.0037% of annually limit (AL)); 0.022 kBq of alpha radionuclides (0.022 kBq for the period January - March 2014 (0.0022% of AL)), and 0.149 kBq of ⁸⁹Sr and ⁹⁰Sr - the value of the quarterly (0.149 kBq for the period January - March 2014 (0.0075% of AL)).
