Characterization of film-converter Kodak-MinR for neutron radiography

  • 1. Instituto de Pesquisas Energeticas e Nucleares (IPEN), Sao Paulo, SP (Brazil). Supervisao de Fisica Nuclear

Description

Some characteristics of film-converter Kodak-MinR system has been studied for neutron radiography use. The results were compared with those obtained for metallic gadolinium-Kodak AA system and has showed high velocity and an excellent resolution. These parameters qualify MinR as a viable alternative for obtaining radiographs by sources with low neutron flux. The radiographic equipment used has been installed at the radial beam hole 8 of the IAER-1 nuclear research reactor
