Calibration of forward calorimeter of CMS detector by means of radioactive 60Co source

Description
Paper dwells upon three various procedures to calibrate the CMS detector HF leading calorimeter making use of 3 mCi activity 60Co radioactive source. The described procedures are shown to enable to ensure ∼5% calibration accuracy in contrast to that performed using 100 GeV energy electrons

Обсуждаются три различных метода калибровки переднего калориметра HF детектора CMS с использованием радиоактивного источника 60Co активностью 5 мКи. Показано, что предложенные методы позволяют достичь точности калибровки ∼ 5% относительно калибровки, проведенной на электронах с энергией 100 ГэВAdditional details
