Recently the Dutch Scientific Council for Government Policy (WRR) published a report on the Dutch environmental policy, focusing on uncertainty and internationalization. In this report six cases are presented and discussed. This working paper provides background information on those cases: (1) Air pollution in the industrial area Rijnmond; (2) Airport Schiphol and the difficult dialogue between economy and environment; (3) the European Community Birds Directive; (4) Nitrogen in agriculture; (5) Climatic change; and (6) Risks of chlorine compounds

Recentelijk heeft de WRR in zijn advies 'Naar nieuwe wegen in het milieubeleid' geadviseerd over het Nederlandse milieubeleid in relatie tot onzekerheid en inter-nationalisering. In dit advies onderzoekt de raad, vooral in hoofdstuk vier, zes casussen. Het voorliggende werkdocument geeft de empirische onderbouwing van deze casussen: (1) Luchtverontreiniging in Rijnmond; (2) Schiphol: de moeizame dialoog tussen economie en milieu; (3) EG Vogelrichtlijn; (4) Stikstof in de landbouw; (5) Klimaatverandering; en (6) Risico's van chloorhoudende verbindingen
