Photoelectric and photomagnetic properties of gapless CdxHg1-xTe in infrared and microwave region of irradiation spectra as a result of energy gap formation
Description
Photoelectric, photomagnetic and photothermomagnetic phenomena dependence on magnetic field strength and uniaxial stress have been investigated in gapless semiconductor CdxHg1-xTe (x=0.04-0.16) as a result of energy gap formation. Infrared excitation makes the photoconductivity grow sharply with the increase of magnetic field or uniaxial stress magnitudes. Within the quantum limit fields there are oscillations of a very high amplitude as a result of recombination with the participation of longitudinal optical phonons
