Influence of Si substitution on phase components and magnetic properties of crystallized Nd4Fe77.5B18.5 alloys

Description

The phase components and magnetic properties of crystallized Nd4(Fe1-xSix)77.5B18.5 (0≤x≤0.12) and Nd4Fe77.5B18.5-xSix (0≤x≤14.8) alloys are investigated. It is found that the addition of Si leads to a transformation in structure from bct-Fe3B to o-Fe3B phases and a rapid decrease in coercivity. The influence of Si on the structure and magnetic properties is discussed
