Enhance public participation and promote the development of nuclear in China

This paper points out that enhancing the level of public participation has become the one of the most important issues to promote the nuclear power development in China. This is derived from the demand of the society evolution, and also related the negative effects of the Fukushima accident. This paper also provides with the proposals for enhancing the nuclear power information transparency, the discussions on the responsibility main body of public participation in the environmental impact assessment, and the possible schemes for establishing the mechanism of public communication.
